Authorization

There are certain areas in immunics.org that require a password.

You create a screen/user name and a password by submitting a registration form on the join page. You can go to the join page by clicking on the linked words "join," "password," or "sign up" at the top of almost every page.

Giving your email to watch or listen to the media version, or read the text version, of the Basic Immunics Film Tutorial is not the same thing and you will not have a password.

Once you have made your password, you must enter it each time exactly the same way you did on your registration form.  They are "case sensitive", by which we mean, you use the same upper (capital) and lower case letters. Any other combination of cases will not work. Make sure that you don't have the keyboard caps lock on.

You will receive a confirmation email if the password registration has gone through successfully. Look carefully at the words you chose. Sometimes it will contain a typo and be different from what you thought that you entered in the form.

If you have difficulty using your password, you may have to clear the history in your browser and reload the page. If that doesn't work, expire the history and the caches of your computer, log off the site, close the browser and then reopen; then log back onto the site. If your log-in screen has "save password" checked, uncheck it before closing the browser. This should clear prior password entries that may not work or are from another site still in cache.

The Netscape browser has a feature which allows you to clear the computer's memory and disk caches also - (Edit; Preferences, Advanced, Cache). For the Internet Explorer, click on Internet Options on the Tools menu, then History under General. In AOL, click on Preferences (on my version it is under "Members") and then clear the history in the AOL and  the cache in your computer (mine is under "www"). Log off your AOL, close the window and log back on. If you can't get rid of the filled in name and password in the gray password box, you will have to ask AOL how to clear this if the above procedure doesn't work.

Now load the www.immunics.org site and go to the page you wish to access. When you click on the link, you should get an empty non-filled out password box. Enter your screen name and password.

If you have any further problems when you get the confirmation email or if you do not get a confirmation email from us, please contact Fran at fran@wayimmune.org and she will assist you.

AOL password difficulties

AOL caches passwords, especially as long as you are on line, so that once you enter one set you don't have to do it again to go to another page protected by that password.

When loading our lessons, see if you have checked the "save password" box when the password box pops up. If you have the "save password" box checked in the pop up gray box with your screen name and password in it, uncheck that.

Click on Preferences (on my version it is under "Members") and then clear the history in the AOL and  the cache in your computer (mine is under "www"). Log off your AOL, close the window and log back on.

Now load the www.immunics.org site and go to the page you wish to access. When you click on the link, you should get an empty non-filled out password box. Enter your screen name and password.

If you can't get rid of the filled in name and password in the gray password box, you will have to ask AOL how to clear this if the above procedure doesn't work.

Are you are having difficulty playing the audios or tutorial videos?

Some libraries will not allow you to play these because they are audible.

We have begun changing the format of all the audios and videos from a mixture of formats including RealMedia to mp3 or Youtube and Flash technology. Some of the media are not going to play until all are completed. If you are having difficulty, please email fran@wayimmune.org with the specific page and media link of the one you want checked. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

The quality and speed of your ISP connection also determines if the media presentation is smooth and uninterrupted. Slower speeds will look choppier.

We do not under any circumstance give or sell our address list or any information that we may have about you to anyone.

If you write to us, to share your cure or experiences or for some other reason, and we find it to be instructive, we may use all or part of it in a newsletter email to our list. If you do not want us to publish your email or letter, please remind us in your e-mail. (See Newsletter, below.)

Your credit card information goes directly through ultra secure servers at Cardservice International's merchant bank via LinkPoint International gateway and does not get stored anywhere at immunics.org.  Please contact Greg at greg@wayimmune.org if you need an alternative method of donating.

Site navigation

There is no need to use Microsoft Word or Word Perfect to read the material on the immunics.org site.

You use a web browser. For most people, this means using Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, or Netscape Communicator.

The audios and videos are in Real streaming media form. If you do not have one already, you will have to download the RealPlayer program, available at http://www.real.com, in order to listen and watch. There is a free basic version. Look for it on the real.com page and follow the links until you can download it.  You do not need the trial or regular versions so don't download them unless you want to buy it. Look for it on the real.com page and follow the links until you can download it.

Difficulties submitting the donation pages?

The most common reason why you may have difficulty submitting a registration page is due to the presence of your firewall or high security that prevents our cgi scripts from operating. Lower your firewall or security and resubmit.

Please double check your information before submitting it.

In addition to filling in all the blanks, when entering your screen name and password, choose for each a one-word entry (which can include numbers) with no punctuation, even if it is a nonsense word. Two separate word entries will be rejected.  If your choice is already in use, it will be rejected.

A form URL (web address) must contain the phrase "wayimmune.org", not "immunics.org". All our forms are written to work only for www.wayimmune.org, our original site name, all in lower case. If this is the problem, reload the page and type in the address with the correct spelling.

You will get a confirmation email if the password page has successfully gone through.

If you have any further problems when you get the registration confirmation email or if you do not get a confirmation email at all, contact Fran fran@wayimmune.org and she will construct your password manually with your choice of wording.

You are agreeing to the Terms of donating, if you submit a donation form.

Using the immunics newgroups

When you come to the immunics.org i-college you are asked if you want your name on a list to receive our immunics newsgroup emails and join the Cure Drive.. If you fill in your email you will be subscribed to the newsletter. It is meant to help you cure what you came here to cure. These e-mails will get you started; they'll also keep you going. You will intuitively know which ones to act on and which ones to simply delete.

The fastest and most direct way to win is with interactive coaching in an immunics support group e-mail that's specific to your disease. Just go to this page, and follow the directions.

http://www.immunicsBuddies.org

Immuners who stay on these lists stay immune; people who are not immuners who join in these lists become immuners. So, if you want to teach yourself immunics, including and especially advanced immunics the simplest, easiest, and fastest way, subscribe right now to this e-mail list, and to an immunics e-mail support group that's specific to your disease; or promise yourself you’ll stay on the ones you’re on.

Your first step in working in this group is to find out how to work in it. BE FAMILIAR WITH THESE GUIDELINES.

One person was once deluged with emails and phone calls after registering at immunics.org. It is not possible that this was caused by us. Again, we do not sell or give our lists or data to anyone - not even other colleagues or associates.

We work closely with our web hosting service, Interland, Inc., who are very much against UBE (or SPAM). We have no business associates or affiliates who might possibly use our email list or information data.
